Depression By Reem Khalil Fadel (12 years) Depression happens when you are quiet upset or maybe very angry, when you are depressed, you feel that the whole world is against you and that you feel that you want to cry. It's okay if you feel like that because problems do happen or even if there wasn't a problem, you can just feel that you want to stay alone at home and don't want do anything except the desire to cry. Also when you have that urge to cry and you don’t even want to. That means that you are depressed without a reason and you don’t know what the reason is. Have you ever wanted to hurt yourself? Or maybe wanted to escape? If you had tried to do one of these things or even wanted to do them, that means that you are so bored of you're life and that you are so angry and that you could even kill yourself! If you are that depressed and don’t want to go out or go to see a counselor or a psychiatrist, you could just try to lie down and relax. Try to drink lots of water, think of a white blank paper for just two hours. When you get up you could – maybe - have a warm bath and stay there for an hour. After that you will feel very relaxed and you may also try and hear some music any music but not loud and aggressive. Make it fun adventure music and then close your eyes and dream. Feel that you are the one who is singing. If u don’t want to do any thing, you could phone someone and then try to meet them! Or sometimes depression doesn’t make you eat or sleep. So if you are hungry and don’t want to eat, try and eat the best food you like. If you can't sleep at night, try and think of lots of paper flying in the air and maybe try to count them, IT WILL WORK! Or if you are alone and don’t want to do anything, you could try to do something fun, like writing all you're feelings and keep them in a safe place so you can read them afterwards. Or maybe you could draw or paint you're feelings! Or you could cook you're best recipe! Cairo January 2, 2007 |
